Using the History Page in XpressTint

XpressTint is able to remember every job that you make, simply by pressing the Job Complete button at bottom of the Formula Recipe. Along with this, you are able to save vital information to the job, such as Customer Notes, who you made the paint for, what it was used on, when it was created, how much the paint cost, exactly what was in it – plus a host of other details.

To start using the new History page and all of its features, just “Complete” a job! Just look for the Job Complete button at the bottom of the page and click it.

This will bring up the Job Card, where you can enter as much or as little information as you’d like. XpressTint remembers all the finer details like what tinters you used, how much the job cost, etc.

Enter tags to quickly “sum-up” a job. Tags can be anything like “Kitchen”, “Glass”, “640 30%”, “Customers Name”… anything that describes the job. This adds categories to History that you can easily sort colours that should be grouped together.

When you need to find the colour again, you can go to your History page, by clicking on the History link located at the top of each page. XpressTint sorts them chronologically, but you can type a search in the search field to refine your query. Below is a list of some recent jobs that I have created. They are neatly arranged as Job Cards so you can see a quick overview of all the most recent jobs you have created. You can Filter these by typing in the Fitler bar. This will instantly refine your results.

Clicking on one of the jobs, will bring up the Job Information page. Here you can view all the specifics of the job that you recently completed. It will even show you the formula and the cost, as well as any information you saved with it. A helpful colour swatch is also displayed if available to help you remember what the colour looked like.

If there are things you would like to add to the History page, such as features or workflow improvements, then we’d love to hear from you. Leave your thoughts in the comments below.

Update: A bug in the “Save to” command prevented all default job details saving correctly to the History page, this has now been fixed.
