Creating a colour in XpressTint is as simple as following a recipe for a cake.
Paul, our resident “Paint Chef”, cooked up this delicious Pink Linen formula, in 660A Gloss Medium Solids polyurethane on our XpressTint machine. We’ve sped up certain parts of the video for so you don’t fall asleep, but Paul, (we can’t show you his face on television), created it in 6 minutes and 32 seconds.
When creating a recipe, Paul always keeps his formula handy to refer back to, and since he prefers to read the exact amount of each colourant rather than the running total, he is careful to tare the scales after each measurement. This allows him to quickly add colourant, and remove any heavy-handed additions with a spatula.
