Change your default Coverage Rates in XpressTint

When we first introduced the XpressTint Calculator and added it to the Search Page, we knew it would help a lot of people in their day-to-day operations. We just didn’t know how much it would help people.

People are relying on this functional little tool many times a day to calculate every job and make only the paint they need to use.

For example, you have 16m² of panels to paint. Simply look up your colour and select your product and gloss level, then click the Calculator icon near the top of the page. *Hint, it looks like this:   and click the Square Metres button.

This will open the Calculator tool. Type 16 in the input screen and hit “CALCULATE”. XpressTint will automatically work out, (based on our own research and findings of each product), exactly how much Part A and Part B to use.

For The Medium Solids Gloss Range, we use a Mixed Litre Coverage rate of 2.8m² per Litre, which takes into account wastage and usage very accurately. This isn’t to say this figure is optimal for everyone however. There will be application methods and different project requirements that will render this figure useless!

So, how do you change the Calculator Setting? Simple.

Each user has the ability to configure their own settings and fine tune their calculator results. Under the My Account dropdown menu, there is a Products link. Clicking on this takes you to the Products page where you can edit each Coverage Rate and Thin rate amounts for every product and gloss level. Just remember to hit save when your done!

Your new calculator settings are saved and you can begin to use the Calculator!

Happy tinting!
